I was born in Peru, Indiana, the Circus City Capitol of the World. It is also the birth place and burial place of Cole Porter among many other notable things, such as the Miami Indian Nation of Indiana Tribal complex.
I am a small part Miami/Eel River/Wea Indian, on my grand mother's side and some Scottish/German on my grand fathers side. I like to say that I got the red hair instead of the red skin. I am proud of the Miami's, they have came through a lot of suffering and are still standing strong.
I have been a widow for 18 years now and I am 65 as of August 1, 2010. I have 3 children, 2 grand sons, 2 great grandsons and a great granddaughter. My oldest Tammy Renee, her two boys, David, Brady is in the Army, his wife Brooklyn and their son Braxon. Brady's other children, Brandt and Braelynn and their very sweet mother Billie, live in Peru, IN.
Then my son, Stanley Brian is in Austin, TX. My youngest, Laura Lynn and her guy Keith, live in Scottsdale, AZ.
My mother and I have been estranged for a few years. Martha Leona Dillman, (Hartleroad), still alive in Mexico, IN. I lost my really great step-father, Marvin Harold Dillman in 2002.
I took acting lessons from a great lady and actress, Mona Lee. I have been an extra in 5 movies. I loved every minute of it and if I had the money would have continued on. I have a radio programmer's license.
I was also able to fulfill a dream and worked on 2 horse/cattle guest ranches. One was in Wyoming and the other in Arizona. That was an experience and I really enjoyed it.
I write short story murder mysteries, working on five plus novels. I have met some of the most wonderful people while here in Austin. I have been privileged to have my picture taken with some very talented people. They are on this web site also. I apologize to the rest of them but the most dear to my heart is the one of me and Erik Estrada KISSING AND HUGGING at his book signing!! He was so very nice to do that for me.
I wrote, produced, acted in, and catered my Halloween Murder Mystery parties back in Peru, Indiana. for about 6 years.
I collect Native American items, Coca Cola, Salt & Pepper shakers, cookbooks, and magnets. I have a large amount of books, some autographed.
I love to cook, read, write, act and live life to the fullest. I have met so many great people since I have been here. The special ones are too numerous to mention, but you know who you are. You have seen me through the best and worst of my 17 years here.
I am now retired and working on my books and enjoying my time creating some new stories and maybe go on a ghost hunt or two with my son.
I hope you all enjoy the web site. Thanks to you.
